John holds separate degrees in Architectural Technology (3-year program) and a Bachelors in Economics – completing his minor B. degree in Building Engineering. After his B. graduation in 1986, John chose to pursue a short career with a Multinational Financial Institution in lieu of possibly articling in Architecture.

John returned to his Design and Building Science roots in the spring of 1989, working for a leading International and Worldwide manufacturer of Roofing, Waterproofing and Building Enclosure membranes and products. Installation specifications and protocols, design-build programs, field review, sales and approved contractor selection were evolving areas of responsibility. John left this all encompassing and rewarding 15 year campaign in 2004 as a Director and Vice President of Siplasts’ Canadian operations.

John created Trimstyle Consulting in 2005. He obtained the coveted RRC (Registered Roof Consultant) designation later that year, so as to provide his customer base with the due care and highest level of professionalism they expect. John is directly involved in many other industry roles, often in senior capacities:

Tony Delavalle

Tony has been actively involved in the roofing industry since the age of 16. He obtained his journeyman's Red Seal designation in 1998, practicing his trade with multiple lower mainland Contracting firms in the 90's and early 2000's; providing him with the tools and hands-on experience  for most-in -use roofing assemblies designed and employed in Western Canada.

Commencing in 2006, Tony changed his focus, concentrating on roofing and waterproofing inspections, taking multiple continuing education programs and courses with IIBEC and the RCABC. He obtained his RRO designation (Registered Roof Observer) in 2007 and his RCABC inspectors certification later the same year. In addition to these accreditations, he further augmented his status by also being certified as a Level 1 thermographer.

Tony has been employed with 2 lower mainland Consulting firms since 2007, joining the Trimstyle family in 2018. He is considered an accomplished and well respected Roofing Inspector, specializing in sloped and flat roofing application.

Tony is a past instructor of the Red Seal Apprentice roofing program offered at the RCABC training facility.

Doug Krieger

Doug is originally from Waterloo, Ontario where he graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts. Doug moved to Vancouver in 1996 and attained a Diploma in Architectural Civil/Structural Drafting (CAD) from Vancouver Community College.

While drafting as a project leader with well-established Engineering Consultants, Doug gained the necessary Building Envelope Science and Restoration experience and computer skills to start his own drafting company in 2008. Since then, he has produced drawing sets for many structures: low-rise residential buildings (private, strata, and government owned), schools, malls, high-rises, parkades, and private homes. He is familiar with industry specific drafting standards and guidelines and utilizes the latest ACAD software. Doug’s expertise and focus make him a valuable member of the Trimstyle family.
