President – Registered Roof Consultant
John holds separate degrees in Architectural Technology (3-year program) and a Bachelors in Economics – completing his minor B. degree in Building Engineering. After his B. graduation in 1986, John chose to pursue a short career with a Multinational Financial Institution in lieu of possibly articling in Architecture.
John returned to his Design and Building Science roots in the spring of 1989, working for a leading International and Worldwide manufacturer of Roofing, Waterproofing and Building Enclosure membranes and products. Installation specifications and protocols, design-build programs, field review, sales and approved contractor selection were evolving areas of responsibility. John left this all encompassing and rewarding 15 year campaign in 2004 as a Director and Vice President of Siplasts’ Canadian operations.
John created Trimstyle Consulting in 2005. He obtained the coveted RRC (Registered Roof Consultant) designation later that year, so as to provide his customer base with the due care and highest level of professionalism they expect. John is directly involved in many other industry roles, often in senior capacities:
2012 – 2020 IIBEC Inc. International – Nomination Committee
2011, 2012 IIBEC Western Canada Chapter – President
2008 – 2013 Three RCABC committees : Technical, Risk Management and Inspectors
